The Silvia Apartment is perfectly located. You can absolutely walk everywhere you need to go and the tram and metro are not far away. The area is called Malá Strana, or Little Quarter. It's a historic area with lots to do and see nearby.
Cafes: Breakfast is served in the downstairs Antique Cafe. Otherwise, there are plenty of cafes right around the corner and near Charles Bridge.
Restaurants: Malá Strana boasts numerous restaurants - too many to list. They range in specialties and price. So whether you need something romantic or just cool and cheap, you'll find something nearby.
Food Stores: There are a couple of small grocery stores nearby. You can take a tram to a larger Tesco if necessary - 10 minutes away.
Public Transport: The nearest metro station is Malostranská. It's about 8 minutes away. And, the nearest tram stop is just 100 metres - it's Malostranské naměstí. It's one of the best stops in the city. It's just steps from Charles Bridge and the trams here will connect to most parts of the city. The #22 in particular is a great tour tram. It crosses the city and hits many attractions including Prague Castle.
Other Sights: There are many lesser known sights nearby as well. They include: Petřín Park, the Infant Jesus of Prague, Kampa Island and Wallenstein Garden. And, don't forget the small streets of Malá Strana - they are perfect for just meandering.
