This is a quick overview of the Prague metro just the facts.

The metro has three lines: A, B and C. On
most maps they are colored according to letter. The A line is green, B is yellow and C is red.
The Prague metro operates from 5 a.m. to midnight. Trains run every few minutes on all lines. They run less regularly during off-peak times (weekends, holidays and nights).
During typical rush hour times, the metro can be crowded. Transfer stations can be particularly busy (Mustek, Muzeum and Florenc).
The metro is safe and clean. But, it's always a good idea to watch out for pickpockets especially on crowded trains.
The 'A' Line connects nearly all major Prague attractions. It's great to choose accommodation near any stop on this line. Significant stations on the 'A' line and attractions it services:
• Malostranska - Prague Castle, Charles Bridge, Malá Strana and PetřínThe 'B' line runs diagonally across the city, from Zlicin to Cerny Most. It connects to the 'A' line at Mustek and the 'C' line at Florenc. It services many of the suburban and shopping areas as well as central Prague.

The 'C' line bisects the city into west and east halves. It connects to the 'A' line at Muzeum and the 'B' line at Florenc. It includes stations for both major train stations and Vyšehrad Castle.
