The location is great for sightseeing, but there's so much more nearby to see and explore. You can find lots of romantic dining, cafes and little shops as well that most visitors will never visit.

Maybe our favorite part is the hotel's close proximity to Petrin - a wonderful green space with splendid views of Prague. Hop on the funicular around the corner for a fun ride up the hill to the top.

We recommend the Hotel Roma Prague first and foremost to couples and business travelers. The hotel offers more than enough to satisfy most needs while providing comfortable rooms and a very good location.

Why Stay Here?

You can easily walk past the Hotel Roma Prague without noticing it much. It sits quietly in Mala Strana (Lesser Town) with little fanfare. But, to us this is a good thing because it does most of its talking inside. Comfortable rooms, great service and a very good location.

• Location: when you can walk down the street a bit and take the photo below, it's a very nice area to stay. It's central, historic and picturesque.


• Service: Each time we have visited the hotel, we've been impressed with the reception and their willingness to help visitors. From our experience managing hotels, this can be quite demanding. So we give the Roma high marks for their service.
  


• Rooms: the rooms at the Hotel Roma are very comfortable - matching the hotel's 4 star rating very well. We like the air-conditioning for July and the option of having a standard double room or a suite.


• Rates: the rates at Hotel Roma are great considering its central location and high standards. Too bad other hotels aren't willing to offer competitive rates like theirs.

In the Neighborhood

For many Prague hotels, their location is what guests look at first. And we're happy to say the Hotel Roma Prague is very well located.

It's close enough to all the sightseeing spots while not being in the middle of a tourist trap. The closest key Prague attractions are Charles Bridge, Prague Castle and Old Town. You can walk to all of these sights or use public transportation. There is a tram (trolley) stop just adjacent to the hotel.

Furthermore, you might consider a few alternative sights nearby as well. The wonderful Petrin (park) across the street is a green oasis and offers splendid views of the city from the top of its hill. And, Kampa Island is a few streets behind the hotel - it's a great place to sit and read.

You might also stop by and see the Infant Jesus of Prague down the street. It's a pilgrimage site with a very interesting story.

Of course, there are plenty of dining options nearby too. The receptionist can help you decide what's best for you. This area is well known throughout the city for its great restaurant options.

We like the little Mediterranean restaurant nearby for sitting outside with a glass of wine.

There are no surprises at Hotel Roma Prague. You get very nice accommodation, high quality services and a great location. Their rates are also affordable considering its 4 star rating.

If you are considering this hotel, you shouldn't feel apprehensive at all. The only sliver we might change is adding a full restaurant, but there are so many options nearby it's a very small comment on a very nice Prague hotel.
