Each Prague webcam here offers a live view of the historic center. They are perfect for an immediate weather forecast of Prague.
Have a look before you arrive to see what awaits you. These are up to the minute with views of Charles Bridge and the castle - looking both ways from Prague city center.
The cameras are updated every few minutes. To see changes in the scenes, you may need to refresh your browser every few minutes or so.
Let's start with our favorite Prague webcam! This one is looking northwest from Old Town to the castle with the ever inspiring Charles Bridge front and center.
We're not sure if the camera is in the tower on the bridge or just south of it. Regardless, it's a perfect little perch.
If you're interested in getting this view for yourself
when you're here, we suggest climbing the tower on Charles
bridge.
There are even better views from the top which is higher
than this webcam. And, it's a fun way to watch the crowds
and river boats pass along while feeling like you're on
top of the world. (Inside there is an interesting
exhibition as well.)
On the opposite side of the river from this view is of
course Prague Castle, but also Malá Strana (Lesser
Town).
This is our favorite area and we always recommend finding a hotel in Malá Strana. We think it has wonderful ambience and charm with lots of little restaurants, cafes and quaint streets to explore. Plus, there are most definitely fewer crowds here than in ever obvious Old Town.
This second Prague webcam looks across the Vltava River
toward Old Town from Malá Strana - just the
opposite from the webcam above.
You can pick out a few of the notorious spires of Old Town and see the bridge tower that we mentioned earlier. This webcam is actually placed in the opposite bridge tower which also has an exhibition space and nice views from the top.
As you can see, Old Town is relatively flat, so there's
less drama in this webcam but we like that you can see
parts of Kampa
Island in the foreground to the right.
Also, the arch of Charles Bridge is more distinct. And
the statues, let's not forget the thirty statues along the
bridge.
Another note, look in the bottom lefthand corner and you
can just make out a bit of water.
This little stream is known as Certovka, or Devil's
stream and runs under the bridge along Kampa Island.
We highly recommend paying the small fee to climb this
tower too. There's a wraparound walkway at top, a small
gallery inside and of course great views from outside. The
photo opportunities are ripe for the taking too!
We have a few more tips for experiencing Charles Bridge
Prague.
Obviously webcams in Prague are an ideal way to see up to
the minute weather. You might also get a peek at a few
days in advance with this weather
forecast for Prague.
Much of Prague's weather comes from the west and north.
The Prague webcam at the top will give you the best idea
of how weather is moving through our area.
At times, especially in the summer, you can catch a storm
moving up from left to right. With the castle in the
background, this picture can be stunning.
