Read on and you won't want to miss it - especially if you have children.

This giant park offers plenty to see and do. It's really a destination all its own. You can easily spend a full day here. And, if you like to take photos of Prague. Well, this is a must destination.
Your pictures of Prague will be like postcards :-)
View from Prague Castle.
There are plenty of trails here for wandering, a cafe with great views, a restaurant with terrace above the park and even a secret garden. (See if you can find it.)
And there's lots to do for children too - including two playgrounds.

Here's a quick list of things to see and do in Petrin:
Find the Rose Garden atop Petrin.
A giant wall known as the Hunger Wall climbs Petrin and makes its way all the way to Prague Castle. The wall was constructed in 1362 under the order of Charles IV. Some say it was created as a defense of the city. But myth has it that it was constructed to give the people of Prague work after a great famine - hence the name.
The wall reaches down to Ujezd - up past the tower and circles behind Strahov Monastery. Much of the wall has a path near it so you can essentially follow it for a long ways and see its different elements. It's quite interesting.
Just part of the long Hunger Wall.
